juice in my belly

I’ve been reading about this adorable little stand in LA called Pressed Juicery. They have all different kinds of juices catering to everyone’s tongues and buds. Whether you want a juice on the fly, or you want to do a week-long cleanse, they’ve got it. Plus, they ship anywhere in the country so you don’t have to go to LA to get your fix. You like green drinks, they’ve got ‘em. You want more of a sweet pick me up after yoga—try the watermelon mint. You like drinking beet juice, you’re crazy but they’ve got that too. You want to cleanse but don’t wanna make that shit yourself, done.

You’re probably thinking “juice. Okay, so what?” People, people. This isn’t a jamba juice or a container of Tropicana. Pressed Juicery juices are pressed on a hydraulic press, which extracts the good ‘ol produce straight from the pulp, releasing vitamins, minerals, and enzymes into each juice that you can’t do with your home juicer. They also take their ingredients into consideration. These aren’t your typical cranberry, yogurt, strawberry with a shit ton of calorie-filled non fat yogurt drinks. These are well thought out recipes that do your body and mind some good.

So, after reading all that fine material, Mike and I decided to try a cleanse. I’m doing cleanse 2 and Mike, cleanse 1. Once we order our cleanse from Pressed Juicery, they deliver each one of us 6 juices for the day plus two enhanced waters. Each day, we’ll get a fresh batch delivered to our doorstep—no sitting in the fridge getting old. Plus, they come in cute, simple bottles and a sweet little bag. For now, we’ve decided on the 3 day so we don’t go nuts. According to the Pressed plan, we’ll eat only raw foods (no meat, dairy or sugar) for 3 days before and 3 days after the cleanse to prep our bodies. No caffeine or alcohol (or pizza, Mikey) at all throughout the cleanse and prep periods. Before we embark on a cleanse we’ve decided to get our bodies accustomed to replacing a meal with a drink. We’ve ordered a months supply of Pressed juices and will replace either our lunch or breakfast with a juice. I can’t wait to try them, and I love that they’ll be delivered to us fresh daily from LA.

happy cleansing. xo

Can’t wait to hear how it goes. I want to try a juice fast one these days. No coffee or booze might be too much for me to handle though. :)
